JOB DESCRIPTION:
Summary:
This position will be required to safely operate, maintain and clean high-production, sophisticated and automated cannabis pre-rolling (cigarette) production and packaging equipment.
This position; It should facilitate the production of pre-rolls that meet/exceed regulatory compliance, health and safety, environmental standards, brand standards and customer experience requirements.

Communication skills, organisation, attention to detail, health and safety and time management are critical to the success of our pre-roll and the continued development and success of the brand.
Some examples of daily tasks include:
- Adjustment of production machines and auxiliary equipment to optimum specifications
- Operating production machines at high efficiency to deliver finished products of good quality, with fewer rejections and in accordance with agreed production targets and specifications.
- Performing troubleshooting and basic maintenance on production machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Assist with planned maintenance inspections and preventative maintenance on production machinery and auxiliary equipment.
- Assist in making modifications to improve the performance of production machines when necessary.
- Providing input on all factory equipment requirements as well as closely monitoring the performance of production machinery.
- Training and development of subordinates in the department.
- Liaising with management regarding technological changes in production.
- Liaising with management to ensure key subassembly spare parts are available when required and in good condition.
- Ensuring that the machine, production line and workstation are cleaned and sterilized to a very high standard.
- Working with other employees in a team-based environment.
- Troubleshooting and solving mechanical problems.
- Disassembly, sterilization and reassembly of production equipment.
- Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows and policies.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements.
Candidate characteristics:
Qualified candidates:
· Be highly proficient in mechanical concepts and their application, including machine use, operation, adjustment, maintenance and troubleshooting.
· Have solid experience in a production environment.
· Being 21 years of age or older.
· Be legally eligible to work in Canada.
· Will be able to travel for a week to train when necessary.
· Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
· Having the ability to work independently and as a team member.
· Have demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills.
· Be extremely organized and detail oriented.
· Ability to follow instructions and react quickly, even in high-stress environments.
· Have effective time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
· Having the capacity to think critically.
· Be self-motivated and reliable.
· Demonstrate interest in continuous improvement and making things safer and more efficient.
Job Type: Full time
Salary: $17.50-$20.00 per hour
