JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary:
Operate hand trucks and occasionally operate a forklift to load/unload delivery vehicles and transport vehicles to delivery locations. Provides exceptional customer service during deliveries and while performing job duties in a safe and orderly manner.
An entry-level position usually requires some prior knowledge or experience.
Job description:
Specific responsibilities include:
- Conveys information that requires explanation or comment
- Operate forklifts and hand trucks according to standard operating procedures
- Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders
- Maintain quality and safety checks
- Provide excellent customer service
- Restock and maintain inventory levels on site
- Pay attention to the cleanliness of the working environment
Skills/Attributes/Physical Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities such as holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for long periods of time.
- Manual dexterity required to operate machines
- Able to work every day of the week, including Sunday, and be able to work in hot/cold weather conditions
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Basic computer skills: ability to use a keyboard and mouse to accurately gather and enter information into the point-of-sale system
- Exceptional customer service skills
