Physical Demands: The nature of this position also requires the employee to perform a wide range of physical activities, from pushing and pulling, lifting and carrying heavy objects (50-70 lbs) to sitting, climbing, squatting, kneeling, stooping and stooping. Use with repetitive hand and finger movements. Vision needs include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Work Environment: The employee constantly works near moving electrical components and mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to welding fumes and airborne particles. The worker may also be at risk of sudden burns, skin burns, electric shock, and exposure to high noise levels. Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times (including but not limited to: CSA-approved safety boots, safety glasses, earplugs).

Job description
Duties for this position will include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving of paint, welding wire, steel rolls, wood, strapping and various products from the supplier;
- Delivering the materials to the appropriate area within our facility;
- Regular inventory of paint and miscellaneous materials to ensure adequate supply;
- Steel coils, roll forming paint etc. operating the crane while ensuring proper slinging techniques are used for safe pick-up and placement;
- Operate a forklift to pick up and deliver materials to the appropriate area of the store and/or maintenance department;
- Using the forklift to retrieve the bridge when necessary; and entering the bridging production into a computer.
- operating the stair climber to distribute paper and other supplies to second-floor offices;
- Preparation of waste for shipment, including hazardous waste, scrap drums, strapping, garbage;
- Going to suppliers’ locations to receive parts and materials on time;
- Load control according to need;
- Preparation of hardware (nuts and bolts) according to demand;
- May be assigned to assist in the field when necessary;
- Maneuvering trailers around the yard when necessary;
- Implementing good housekeeping practices, including 5S and time management, in the performance of daily tasks;
- To comply with all legislation and the company’s health, safety, environment, quality and Lean policies,
- procedures and programs;
- All other tasks assigned.
Qualifications
- Significant crane and forklift experience in an industrial environment;
- Flexibility and patience to accommodate multiple requests;
- Ability to work at the speed determined by production standards;
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities;
- Ability to read, sign documents and enter information into the computer;
- The location is exposed to extreme temperatures while materials are received according to the outdoor temperature;
- Position requires at least a “G” license. Previous experience will be a definite advantage if it involves maneuvering
- trucks or those with an A-Z license;
- A good command of English is essential for interacting with delivery drivers and supplier staff.
