The Warehouse Worker’s primary responsibilities include receiving and processing incoming products, preparing orders for shipping, and performing inventory and quality control duties. This person ensures that the warehouse is clean, orderly and maintained in accordance with facility protocols and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

 Responsible for receiving and inspecting items, labeling items correctly, and reporting any discrepancies in reconciling deliveries and invoices.
 Responsible for organizing and storing all incoming products at designated locations and implementing FIFO (first in, first out) stock controls for perishable products.
 Training and operation of manual pallet trucks, electric pallet trucks and/or forklifts may be required.
 Selects inventory to assemble product, material, and equipment orders for demands or established equal levels.
 Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to meet accuracy and production standards.
 Load, unload and transport products and materials to different areas of the warehouse and/or other customer locations. May require the use of cars, powered industrial vehicles (PIV) or motorized vehicles.
 Responsible for conducting routine physical inventory counts based on established location schedules.
 Complete administrative tasks accurately, including records such as inventory count documentation, temperature and spoilage records, equipment inspections, and other related business records. This can be on paper or in a technology-based system (handheld device or PC).
 Clean work areas as assigned, including but not limited to restrooms, break areas, loading dock, freight elevator and freight platform delivery areas, as appropriate.
 Follow all location safety policies, OSHA requirements, SDS standards, and emergency procedures. Use all necessary safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
 Takes appropriate measures to ensure the security of customer and company assets.
 Interact with customers, employees, vendors, clients, and guests regarding work-related activities and attend meetings as necessary.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 Being over 18 years old
 High school or equivalent education is preferred
 2 years warehouse experience is preferred
 Strong written and verbal communication skills
 Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
 Basic computer skills
 Manual dexterity required to operate machines
 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
 Some customer locations require a current, valid driver’s license. If this is required, an MVR will be run as part of your pre-employment screening process.

This role may have physical demands including but not limited to lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or walking and standing for extended periods of time. This role may also require the use of uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
