Transportation Administration Is Urgently Needed At Best Buy – Brampton, ON – Canada Careers Hub

Our transportation team is one of the main driving forces behind what we do. Ensuring that many of our products arrive on time and to their intended destination is a challenging task. Fortunately, our Transportation Team specializes in customer service and meeting expectations and timelines.
The Transportation Manager is responsible for assisting the Transportation Supervisor in the coordination, execution and monitoring of all Transportation functions, including but not limited to load planning, customer service and communications. The manager works closely with distribution centers, CHQ, third-party vendors, GSC, and stores to ensure Best Buy customer expectations are met.
As a Transport Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for scheduling outbound and inbound appointments for Best Buy and third-party Distribution Centers
    Complete all required paperwork and documents completely, accurately and on time.
  • Maintain DC/Store picking, shipping and returns programs for Best Buy and third-party Distribution Centers
  • Enter data efficiently and accurately when necessary
    Performs the first steps of the billing process through operator acceptance to More4Apps login
  • Works with third-party carriers and security in final product release
  • Works with stores to ensure communications are forwarded to appropriate party
  • Support the Transportation Controller in monitoring carrier pickup and delivery performance. Provide timely updates to stores
  • Identifies security risks and takes appropriate corrective actions
  • Performs other duties or projects as assigned or required

The experience we need…

  • Grade 12 or equivalent, but a combination of relevant education and experience will also be considered.
  • Post-secondary certification or equivalent experience in Logistics or Accounting/Admin is an asset
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure and have good attention to detail
  • Must have intermediate proficiency in MS Office/Excel
